The Case of the Disappearing Katie

As soon as I typed that title, I immediately thought of The Cat Who… books. My grandma used to read them constantly. As far back as I can remember, she had shelves and shelves of books. It makes me wonder if the love of reading is hereditary=) But, that’s all beside the point of this post.

It’s fitting that my last post discussed depression and then I up and disappeared for two months. To be honest, it wasn’t depression per se that kept me from posting. It was the need to prevent a downward spiral. A lot happened at the end of January and throughout February and March that pushed this blog to the sidelines. Don’t worry, it was nothing major, and I have some amazing friends and family that help keep me balanced.

As much as I wanted to focus more energy on my blog this year, I’ve learned that I can’t. There’s already too much on my plate. It’s hard to learn that you have limits. It is for me anyway. I want to be able to do it all, but I can’t. My health, both physical and mental, won’t allow for it. That doesn’t mean I’m ditching the blog altogether.

That doesn’t mean I’m ditching the blog altogether. It just means that it isn’t my number one priority. I’ll still do posts, but I have no idea when.

I hope you had a wonderful February and March and that you have a wonderful April!
