Star Wars is coming! My family is so excited we’ve decided to watch one movie a night until we get to see it this weekend. Unfortunately, that means we won’t be able to see it until after many other people have. This increases the possibility of seeing spoilers.
Fortunately, I’ve figured out a way to remove all spoilers from my Tweetdeck until after I’ve had a chance to see it. It also removes any mention of Star Wars, just to be on the safe side.
So, here, without further ado, I give you the steps to do the same. It’s incredibly simple=)
- In Tweetdeck, click the little Gear down by the bottom.
- From there, click the Mute settings and select the Text Content option. Then, in the “Using” space, put Star Wars and click Mute. I also suggest doing #StarWars (with the hashtag) in addition so that accidental mentions don’t get by you due to that pesky little space between words. Also, any other permutation of Star and Wars put together (no hashtag-no space, all lower case, all upper case, etc.)
- Ta-da! You’re done!
Once you’ve seen the new movie, you can go back in to settings and remove the mute setting for Star Wars and #StarWars easy-peasy.
Anyway, I hope you are all having a fabulous December!
